GOOGLE GIVES USERS MORE REASONS TO KEEP USING CHROME

Google is working in ways for Chrome to be more power efficient.

Recently Chrome has had problems especially with widgets that were able to gather users personal information of users, Google has now given potential defectors a good reason to stick with it's Chrome brow-ser.
Google has announced it will be making battery saving improvements to the Chrome browser. Speaking to the Wall Street Journal Max Christoff, director of Chrome browser engineering reviewed at Google is more actively focused on making the browser less power intensive with three new initiatives.
This are trap trotting, which is achieved by trotting the use of non-essential JavaScript tasks including things like reporting logs and interactive monitoring scroll position and more. Google has discovered that they are major source of battery drain. any tests Google conducted Google limited JavaScript checks to 1 per minute and open 36- tabs in the background. The results of this test shows that there was a 28% battery boost which equals an additional 2 hours of battery usage.
Another test conducted by Google shows- that even when running an intensive process in the foreground tab (in this case YouTube video) limiting JavaScript checks in the background tabs still results in a 13% battery boost.-
The aim of this test and feature is to dramatically reduce power consumption and performance, reducing the powertrain of arts and new optimistion changes to the core of the browser. Interestingly Christoff spoke to WSJ as a part of a highly critical editorial from the site which affects the performance of the browser in comparison to rivals.
Google has to follow through on this initiatives in order to retain its lead in the browser market.
