Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event Highlights: Samsung Note 20 series, Buds, Active Watch 3, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Tab S7 series


Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Highlights: Samsung during it's Galaxy Unpacked Event unveiled 5 new products ranging from Smartphones to Tablets and Smartwatches. The unveiled products include

  1. Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series
  2. Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 series
  3. Samsung Active Watch 3
  4. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2
  5. Samsung Galaxy Buds

The Samsung Galaxy Note is going to be made available in 4G for some few select market while 5G for other markets. The Note 20 would be made available starting August 21.

The Galaxy Tab S7 5G variant starts at $849, whereas, the Galaxy Tab S7 starts at $1,049.The LTE variants start at $749 and $949, respectively and the Wi-Fi variants start at $649 and $849, respectively. It will also be made available starting August 21. Samsung has priced the Galaxy Watch 3 at $399 and the Galaxy Buds Live at $169. Unlike the Galaxy Note 20 series the South Korean smartphone manufacturer didn’t confirm a lot of details about the foldable phone but said that more details will be announced on September 1 — just around a month later. On the same day, the new Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be up for pre-orders. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes packed with two edge-to-edge and near bezel-less Infinity-O Displays. Out of the two, the cover screen is 6.2-inches while the massive main screen measures 7.6-inches making it larger than the predecessor – Galaxy Fold. The new foldable phone comes in two stunning colors: Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series highlights Samsung has announced five new products during its Unpacked event including Note 20 series, Galaxy Z Fold2, Galaxy Watch3 and Galaxy Watch3. The Galaxy Note 20 series will be made available in 4G variants only in select markets, the details are yet to be available. While rest all of the markets will get the 5G variant. The Galaxy Note 20 5G variant will start at $999 (approximately #420,000) and the Note 20 Ultra 5G will start at $1,299 (approximately #550,000). The Note 20 series will be made available starting August 21.

The Note 20 Ultra features a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung says its 4550mAh battery would last for a whole day and its 25W Fast Charging can charge more than 50% charge in 30 minutes. The Note 20 series comes with a 5G support (Sub-6 and mmWave networks) WiFi 6 support and is protect by Knox Security software.

Samsung partnered with Microsoft to allow users play over 100 Xbox games on your Note 20 from the cloud with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will be made available in Mystic Bronze, Mystic Green and Mystic Gray colour options. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will be made available in Mystic Bronze, Mystic Black and Mystic White colour options. And the Galaxy S7 series will be made available in Mystic Black, Mystic Silver and Mystic Bronze colour options.

All of these products will be made available in select markets starting August 21.

Galaxy Tab S7/ S7+

Samsung Tab S7 Series highlight: After unveiling the Note 20 series Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Tab S7 series which consist of two variants; The Tab S7 which sports a 11 inch display and the Tab S7+ 12.4 inch display. Both Tabs come withe with 120Hz refresh rate display but the specifications remain the same.

Along with the Tab S7 serie Samsung launched its new Book Cover Keyboard which has been improved than the previous version according to the company. The Tab S7 also comes with a larger variant of the S-pen for the Galaxy Note 20 series and a Bluetooth mouse if you choose to use the Tab as your primary device.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Highlight: Samsung has finally revealed its Galaxy Watch 3 will be made available in two sizes 41mm and 45mm. It comes with a stainless steel construction paired with leather bands. A Titanium variant of the device will also be made available.

The Galaxy Watch 3 comes with a rotating bezel to control it. The company claims that the Galaxy Watch 3 is 14 per cent thinner, 8 per cent smaller and 15 per cent lighter compared to the original Galaxy Watch. The device will support 80,000 watch faces in the Galaxy Store and can also design custom faces on your own. You will also get a library of 40 different complications allowing you to personalize your watch face with the information that’s most important to you.

The Galaxy Watch 3 will be made available in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm, in LTE and Bluetooth variants. The 41mm variant will be made available in Mystic Bronze and Mystic Silver colour options. Whereas, the 45mm variant will be made available in Mystic Silver and Mystic Black colour options. The Titanium variant will be available later this year.

The new Galaxy Watch 3 will come with a Blood oxygen (SpO2) meter, a blood pressure (BP) monitor and an electrocardiogram (ECG). All these features will be made available in the markets where these features have been authorized. It also comes with an SOS notification feature for use during an emergency.

Other features include running analysis, VO2 max readings tracker, library of more than 120 different video workouts, sleep score insights and more.



Samsung Galaxy Buds available in 3 variants

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live highlights Samsung revealed its new Buds Live, which will be made available in Black, White and a Bronze color option. The Buds Live utilize AKG’s sound expertise and come with a 12mm speaker, which is comparatively bigger than the Galaxy Buds+.

The Buds Live comes with a big bass duct which means bass sounds would be fuller and richer. It also comes with Active Noise Cancellations which helps reduce noise from the background.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds live and Galaxy Watch 3 would be made available in select countries starting August 6.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 Samsung had BTS to help unveil the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 which is more customer base for the Korean phone vendor. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 has a 7.6-inch 120Hz display, using its ultra-thin UTG glass that was a part of the Z Flip. The outer screen is 6.2 inches, and more fits its "full cover display" name now. It's 100% glass, says Samsung, not plastic or "Glasstic."
Galaxy Z Fold2 will come in Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black, be 6mm thin, and sport a smaller punch hole camera – not that side notch business. There appears to be a triple-lens rear camera and side fingerprint sensor again. The information about this device was kept short so we don't know much about the device for now.
